Job Info:

Cogent Luxembourg is looking for talented individual to join their team as Accountant.

The Accountant will be responsible for keeping the books of certain subsidiaries and assist the team in various admin functions.

She/he will need a technical accounting background. She/he must have a strong aptitude for systems.

Contract:

Fixed term from approx. March 1st 2026 to June 30th 2027, to cover maternity leave

Essential Job Functions:

• Maintain accounting records : Execution of daily transactions for companies based in Asia Pacific
• Production of AP and AR reconciliations
• Produce the reconciliation between bank statements and General Ledger transactions.
• Ensure booking of invoices and follow-up of payments providing supplier control reconciliation
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and Annual closing
• Extensive liaison internally and with local external accounting firms
• Experience handling audit requests and financial compliance in India.
• Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards (IND-AS) and tax regulations, including GST, TDS, and withholding tax compliance.
• Familiarity with Indian payroll structures, statutory deductions (EPF, ESI).
• Proven experience in accounting with a focus on international finance, required working with India-based entities or vendors.

Minimum Job Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you will:

• Have a Bachelor Degree in Accounting or a related field
• Minimum 3 years experience (at least 1 year in India based entity)
• Pref experience with Navision ERP
• Good command of Excel
• Demonstrate initiative. Be service minded.
• Be fluent in English.
• Have experience with E.R.P (Navision preferably)
• Authorized to work in Luxembourg
