By the end of May, 15,124 individuals were registered with ADEM as job seekers, marking a 2.1% rise compared to the previous year, or an increase of 316 job seekers.
The unemployment rate also rose by 0.1% compared to the previous month, lying at 5.5% by the end of May. Compared to 2018, the unemployment rate has also risen by 2.1%.
4,237 individuals took part in employability measures offered by the National Employment Agency. Employers declared 3,465 jobs in May as well.
