Police officers on patrol near Luxembourg-Gare around 3pm on Friday observed a man whose behaviour raised suspicions of drug dealing. When approached, the man became visibly nervous and walked away, carrying a black bag into an open garage. A short time later, he re-emerged without the bag. Officers stopped him for a check, during which they found two mobile phones and a sum of cash. Investigating further, police located the black bag in the garage. Upon examination at the police station, the bag was found to contain a larger quantity of drugs. The suspect was arrested on the spot and the drugs were seized as evidence.
At about 5.40pm the same day, a second incident unfolded when a man allegedly tried to snatch a necklace from another passenger's neck while riding a tram in Luxembourg City. The suspect attempted to flee the scene on foot but was intercepted a short distance away by the victim, who managed to stop him. Acting on instructions from the public prosecutor’s office, police took the suspect into custody.
