Annual weather review by AgriMeteo2021 was marked by below-average temperatures and extreme weather events

This was determined by the latest meteorological bulletin by the Administration of Agricultural Technical Services (ASTA). The floods in mid-July particularly stand out.

Overall, with an average temperature of 9.3 °C, it was colder in 2021 compared to the average of the reference period 1991-2020, for which a temperature of 9.9 °C was recorded.

Regarding the amount of rain, the bulletin notes that northern Luxembourg saw slightly too little, while the rest of the country experienced above average rainfall.

In March, temperatures reached a record-high with 25.4 °C in Clemency.

In July, precipitation reached record levels (105.8 mm in Godbrange), which also led to the disastrous floods on 14 and 15 July.
