Nameless streets212 brand new street names for Wincrange

RTL Today
On Monday, the municipality of Wincrange officially welcomed 212 new street names. Before that, it was the last municipality that still used only house numbers instead of street names.

The street signs have already been up for about a year to make the transition easier to both residents and mail carriers.

Postman Marc Thill is happy about the change, although he admits that he still needs to adjust to it. External delivery services or replacement mail carriers who don't know the area as well as Thill does will now be able to find their way a lot easier with the introduction of street names.

In order for the change to be successful, residents must remember to always indicate their new address. To facilitate the transition process, the post office currently accepts both the old and new addresses. All the parties involved, including the local municipal council, are putting in a huge amount of effort. The council has been working on the project for roughly fifteen years and can now finally see the fruits of their labour.
