The petition launched by the "Stop 5G Luxembourg" collective received 7,272 signatures, while the petition asking to implement teleworking into labour laws was signed by 5,933 people.
The former seeks to halt the development of 5G in Luxembourg, citing insufficient studies of the effects on humans and the environment. The latter hopes to see Luxembourg's Labour Code amended to add a right to work from home for half the daily or weekly working time.
No date has been set for either debate at present.
Petitions must pass a threshold of 4,500 signatures before being subjected to public debate.
Another petition which garnered much support is that requesting that schools in Luxembourg stay closed until September, with 6,637 people supporting the motion.
However, the petitioner already met with Minister of Education Claude Meisch to discuss concerns ahead of schools reopening on 25 May.
