On Thursday afternoon, the court sentenced the suspended teacher from Bissen to eight years in prison, with five of those years part of a suspended sentence.
The sentence is partially suspended provided he undergo psychiatric treatment for paedophiliac tendencies.
The judges also banned the man from teaching for ten years as well as issues a lifelong ban of being in contact with minors.
In addition to those sentences, he received a €1,000 fine, has to pay €17,500 in damages and take over the legal costs of the civil parties.
The assailant had been a teacher in Bissen from 2001 onwards and had taken indecent photographs of children between 2003 and 2015. In total, investigators found 7 films and 450 photographs in the man's possession.
