Large crowds flocked to the beaches and meadows surrounding Upper Sûre Lake over the sunny Whitsun weekend. Ahead of the holiday, police had announced increased patrols to safeguard visitors and ensure compliance with local regulations and traffic rules.

Over the course of the weekend, police issued 87 warnings for illegal parking. In addition, three reports were filed for unauthorised campfires, two for taking dogs onto the beaches in contravention of the rules, and one warning was issued for the unlawful consumption of cannabis.
Police emphasise that increased patrols will continue in the area both in the coming days and next weekend. Visitors are strongly urged to respect local laws and parking regulations to help ensure that everyone can enjoy their time at the lake.
