According to a Cita report, two accidents on the A1 and the A6 have halted traffic around the capital.
The first accident, which involved two trucks and a car, occurred on the A1 towards Trier, near the Sandweiler/Hamm exit. Both the right lane and the emergency lane have been blocked off as a result, causing a 7km traffic jam as of 7.45am.
Traffic is backed up as far as the Croix de Gasperich and the A3 slip roads.
The second accident occurred on the A4 between Esch-sur-Alzette and Luxembourg, near the Leudelange-sud exit.
Significant traffic jams have been reported in the area.
