
On the recommendation of Minister of Social Security Romain Schneider, the State Council decided on Friday to propose to HRH the Grand Duke the appointment of Alain Reuter as President of the National Pension Insurance Fund (CNAP).
Following his formal appointment, Reuter will assume the presidency of the Compensation Fund (FDC) and succeed Fernand Lepage on 25 December 2020.
Alain Reuter currently holds the position of First Management Advisor of the Joint Social Security Centre (CCSS). Born in Luxembourg in 1973, he joined the CCSS in 2007 as head of the methodology department, before taking up his current position in January 2012. Prior to joining the public sector, Reuter worked as an analyst-advisor at Lawson Software in Oxford. Reuter holds a PhD in Mathematics from Imperial College London, and a master's degree in Mathematics from the University of East Anglia in Norwich, UK.
Minister Romain Schneider stated that he would like to thank Fernand Lepage for his dedication as President of the CNAP and the FDC as well as for his commitment throughout his career to the field of social security in Luxembourg.
