Trade unionAndré Roeltgen will not candidate OGBL presidency

RTL Today
Current president of the independent trade union OGBL André Roeltgen has announced that he will not put his hat in the ring for the role of president once his mandate is up at the OGBL's congress in December.

Roeltgen was not re-elected to the Chamber of Employees in the recent social elections, but will continue to lead the trade union until December.

At the press conference following the national committee meeting, Nora Back vowed that she would be available to lead the trade union, provided the congress approve her. The national committee examined the outcome of the social elections in detail, commenting that the OGBL had achieved its expectations. Despite the loss of three seats in the Chamber of Employees, the trade union remains in the majority.

The OGBL knew before the elections that the result would be narrow.
