The municipalities of Colmar-Berg, Esch, Laroschette, Kopstal, Memrtert, Parc Hosingen, Roeser, Rumeldange and Winseler are furious about the planned closures.
Although the direction of the state bank acknowledged the individual municipal concerns, they did not sit around the table to discuss the matter together.
The municipalities were astonished about the fact that the bank is not interested in meeting in the first place, the mayors have said.
Due to the current coronavirus pandemic the mayors are calling for the bank to postpone its branch closures until the crisis has been dealt with - but they still want to sit around the table together after.
