Residents living in the apartments above the cash machine notified the police. Officers were on site securing evidence. Nobody was injured in the incident.
There have been several similar cases in previous months, with the culprits often operating in the border region. On 5 September an ATM was blown up in Pommerloch. Since March of 2018 a total of nine ATMs were destroyed.
