In a statement published on Thursday, the initiative called on all citizens of Luxembourg to take a stand against “violence, intimidation, fake news, and the misrepresentation of reality”.
To this end, the initiative called on residents to do one of two things at midday on Saturday: either sounding their car horn, or stepping outside and make noise, for instance with a pan, and this for at least 15 seconds.
The group stated that this act is meant to show respect “for others, the scientific truth, solidarity, participatory democracy, and civic responsibility”.
In its statement, the group also stresses that it sees vaccination as “the only available solution to end the crisis”.
