Police were called to the scene of an unusual accident in Soleuvre on Tuesday afternoon, after a cyclist violently crashed into a bus shelter for reasons that remain unknown.
According to initial reports, the cyclist was riding at high speed towards Rue Scheierhaff when they suddenly turned left and collided head-on with the shelter. The impact shattered the glass, and the cyclist sustained serious injuries.
Emergency services provided first aid at the scene before transporting the cyclist to A&E for further treatment.
In a separate incident, another cyclist fell and sustained injuries on Rue d'Ehlerange in Esch-sur-Alzette at around 6.40am on Wednesday morning. An ambulance from Esch attended the scene.
