
The man was drink driving back in February, driving through red lights, speeding, and driving on the wrong side of the road.
The police had to give chase as the defendant was driving along Avenue de la Gare in the wrong direction. After a second patrol blocked the route along Rue du Fort Neipperg, officers had to forcefully remove him from his car.
An alcohol test revealed his BAC content had been at 2.2 promille.
The court verdict involved a €1,000 fine and a 22-month driving ban. 12 months of the driving ban are suspended and the man will be allowed to commute to and from work for the duration.
