The police found the man sleeping in his car with the motor on in Belval. As dangerous as it sounds, the police did indeed find the man doing this at 12.30pm on Wednesday.
The driver had quite simply stopped his car in the middle of traffic on Boulevard Charles de Gaulle towards the centre of Esch-sur-Alzette.
The police officers made the man take an alcohol test, which confirmed that he was driving under the influence. The police confiscated his driver's licence, immobilised his vehicle, and handed him a provisional driving ban.
