Frieden was head of the executive committee for three years and will be giving up the position following his election to the Chamber of Commerce's plenary assembly. He will be replaced by François Pauly, former president of the BIL (Banque Internationale à Luxembourg), currently head of La Luxembourgeoise.
The former CSV politician Frieden is also currently in talks to succeed Michel Wurth as the president of the Chamber of Commerce.
