Yellow alertHigh temperatures expected in Luxembourg on Sunday

Luxembourg’s weather agency is forecasting temperatures of up to 30-32°C in certain areas of the Grand Duchy.

In particular, high temperatures are expected in the Moselle valley.

The weather alert applies from 2pm until 8pm on Sunday.

A yellow weather alert means ‘potential danger’. Hot weather is a risk in particular for the elderly, children, people with chronic illnesses, and those on medication or who are isolated.

You can keep yourself cool by:

• Closing shutters, curtains and windows during the day
• Drinking plenty of water at regular intervals
• Avoid going out during the hottest hours of the day (generally 11am to 9pm)
• Covering your head when going out
• Wearing light clothing
• Limiting your physical activities
