Burglars seem to be taking advantage of reduced daylight hours in the region over the last few days.

Burglars were able to enter a house in Mamer on Thursday evening around 6.35 pm. As the owners were at home, the would-be robbers had no choice but to flee.

Suspicious people were reported on Thursday evening around 11 pm on a construction site in Moutfort. On their arrival, police officers managed to arrest six people in a vehicle. One of the individuals admitted to having stolen petrol from the construction site. The individuals were fined by order of the public prosecutor's office but were able to leave after the administrative formalities.

Lastly, another house was broken into in Kleinbettingen between 11.45 am and 3.15 pm. Numerous valuable items were probably taken by three individuals. They are aged between 20 and 30 years old and dressed in black, according to a witness that spotted them around 1.40 pm. No vehicle was involved, with the perpetrators said to have been travelling on foot around the area.
