MPs will vote on the new Covid law on Thursday afternoon. If passed, the isolation period will be reduced from seven to four days in an attempt to reduce the number of problems caused by too many sick certificates. The contact tracing mechanism will be abandoned completely.

It was already announced on Wednesday that Long-Covid is to be officially recognised and that treatments for patients suffering from persisting symptoms will soon be integrated into the nomenclature of acts and services performed by doctors that are reimbursed by health insurance.

The Government Council approved the related draft Grand-Ducal regulation on Wednesday.
