Following recent terror attacks in EuropeLuxembourg decides against raising national threat level

RTL Today
Prime Minister Xavier Bettel described the current threat level of a terrorist attack as "realistic, but abstract".

Bettel made this statement in answer to a parliamentary question by MPs Laurent Mosar and Serge Wilmes from the Christian Social People's Party (CSV).

The Prime Minister explained that following the recent terrorist attacks in Europe, Luxembourg's coordination group for the fight against terrorism re-evaluated the national threat level. It decided to keep the current level, which is two – four being the maximum threat level.

Even if the general threat level had not been raised, police have still adapted the protection of "vulnerable locations" following the recent attacks, Bettel added.
