The International Speaker Slam took place in Munich on 24 January. Each candidate had 4 minutes to deliver an original speech as convincingly as possible.
The big winner came from the small Grand Duchy: Luxembourger Heinz-Werner Kopp convinced the jurors with his speech "Die Sicht der Dinge" ("The Perspective of Things"), in which he explored human relationships and problem solving.
One of his key ideas was that we do not perceive the world how it really is but that we see it filtered through our own selves.
