A yellow alert will be in force throughout the country from 11pm tonight until noon the following day. The snow is expected to reach a depth of about 2 cm. The north of the country may experience even more snowfall.
Temperatures will stay within 0 and -2°C, and the snow will likely render the roads slippery and dangerous. When driving, it is especially important therefore that winter tires suitable for this kind of weather are used. It is however advised to stay in if at all possible.
When going for a walk, it is highly advised to use shoes with proper grip and to wear warm and appropriate winter clothing.
It is the first snow forecast of the season from Météolux and could turn out to be the first real snowfall of December.
We would be happy to see some of your snow-filled experiences of the season, so if you'd like to share, don't hesitate to send them to the following email: 5minutes@rtl.lu. We will publish them Monday morning!
