After the last demonstration, which blocked a lane on the Red Bridge, the students promised to resume their protests at the start of the school year, and it appears they will keep their promises. Members of Youth for Climate Luxembourg confirmed to RTL that their next demonstration will take place in mid-September.
The meeting will take place on Friday 20 September, mere days after the 2019-2010 school year resumes. It will resemble their first demonstration which occurred on 15 March.
The government confirmed that it had met with a number of the climate march's organisers, consulting their demands, which have been collected in a report available on the National Student Conference website. The government has also promised answers to these demands by spring 2020.
