As announced, the opposition parties CSV, adr, Piratepartei and déi Lénk voted against the bill and requested a motion for a public inquiry in order to look into the matter of the "military satellite".

The motion was not supported by the majority, but the MPs from the opposition were not placated. They stressed that they wanted to clarify the unclear aspects of the Luxeosys acquisition in a public inquiry, where everyone concerned should have to testify under oath.

David Wagner from déi Lénk appealed to the conscience of the majority MPs. Denying a public inquiry meant a weakening of parliament and this refusal was a true scandal, he said.

The majority parties and Minister Bausch did state they wanted more clarity on the matter. The Court of Auditors will be tasked with this. After a request from the CSV supported by the other parties, an agreement was found that the report from the Court of Auditors will be publicly debated in parliament.
