A search operation was launched, in which several police patrols took part. The ensuing chase between Munsbach and the Kirchberg neighbourhood of Luxembourg City saw the fleeing driver perform several dangerous manoeuvres, before crashing in the underpass of the roundabout to the A1. However, this did not prevent the reckless driver from continuing on the A1, before finally being intercepted by a patrol, after a brief cat-and-mouse game with the police.

After a positive drug test, further clinical tests were carried out in hospital. In addition, a check determined that the individual did not have a valid driving licence and was under judicial supervision for a drug offence.

No one was injured, but the car was completely destroyed. During the search of the man’s home ordered by the public prosecutor’s office, a small quantity of marijuana and hashish was seized. A complaint has been filed.
