The organisation posted an open letter to Minister of Agriculture Romain Schneider on their website "Meng Landwirtschaft".

In the letter, they criticise that the ministry continues to disregard civil society actors who have committed themselves to agriculture and the environment for years.

Even though they appreciate the government’s intention to convert 20% of traditional agricultural land into organic agriculture (as negotiated during the coalition agreement), they also hope that no time will be lost to achieve this goal.

Three months have passed since the meeting took place in early March, with no news from the ministry. They explained that this lack of communication does not correspond to the open and inclusive process of exchange they had hoped for.

“Meng Landwirtschaft” would like to be able to participate and/or give their opinion during the development process, and not just play a symbolic role in finalising a proposal that has already been completed.

They therefore wish to be informed as quickly as possible about the action plan’s status.
