Covid measures in educationMichel Lucius high school returns to A and B groups

RTL Today
A series of schools have taken further steps after the All-Saints-holidays to counteract the recent spike in infections.

The ministry of education specifically designed its Covid-19 response so that individual institutions are still at liberty to adjust more concrete measures if needed. Michel Lucius high school in Limpertsberg has therefore returned to the A and B group model since Monday.

This means that the highest grades (4e, 3e, 2e, and 1e) will alternate between remote learning and coming to school. Through this measure, the circulation of pupils on campus will be decreased by 430 to 460 students.

The measure relies on digital learning, which makes it possible for both vulnerable and quarantined pupils to participate in class. School management further received an approval to reorganise the year into semesters instead of trimesters. The goal is to focus on learning with more sporadic evaluations.
