Constitutional reformMinistry of State approves new request for referendum

RTL Today
An action committee recently initiated steps to request a referendum over chapter four of the constitutional reform, which the Ministry of State has now approved.

Since the request has been approved, municipalities will now have to make lists accessible to their residents so that they can sign the petition for a constitutional referendum. A minimum of 25,000 signatures is needed to hold a referendum.

Similar initiatives were already launched for the three previous chapters of the constitutional reform, which all failed to cross the necessary signature threshold.
