Given the nice weather this past weekend, many people got out on their motorbikes.

Unfortunately, for one such motorcycle enthusiast, things didn't quite go as planned: the motorcyclist was hit by a car in Bollendorf on Sunday evening.

An ambulance from Echternach, firefighters from Berdorf and the police attended the site of the accident.

Luckily, nobody suffered significant injury, said the emergency services.

Two accidents and a fire

A car drove into a wall in Mersch at about 10.00pm. The incident occurred on Place de l'Eglise. An ambulance, three fire engines, and the police rushed to the scene. The driver of the car was injured, though we have no further details on his condition at this time.

At around midnight, a vehicle hit the crash barrier on the A4 in direction of Esch-sur-Alzette. Nobody was injured.

On Rue Michel Lentz in Bettembourg, some wood caught fire at about 8.45pm. The fire brigade from Bettembourg dealt with the incident - no further details were available.
