Between Koetschette and GrevelsMotorists submit complaints about damaged cars following road works on the CR308

RTL Today
In September, the road surface on the CR308 was renewed using the chip sealing method. Since then, the authorities have received 20 complaints related to these road works.

Specifically, it appears that there were problems with damaged vehicles. Overall, the Bridges and Roads Authority has received 20 written complaints by people whose vehicles were damaged.

This was revealed by Minister for Mobility François Bausch in his reply to a parliamentary question by MP André Bauler from the Democratic Party (DP). Bausch points out that there was a speed limit of 50 km/h in place, and if motorists do not respect that they risk damaging their vehicles.

The Minister stressed that the applied method is widely used and has proven its worth on an international level by increasing the lifespan of a road surface. Using the chip sealing method is also “more ecological and less expensive” compared to putting down a completely new road surface.
