Prosecution confirmsNew arrest warrant issued for Jean-Marc Sirichai Kiesch

RTL Today
The Luxembourgish courts have decided to issue a new European and international arrest warrant for Jean-Marc Sirichai Kiesch.

This was confirmed by the prosecution. The Luxembourger, sentenced for second degree murder and on the run for 16 years, was arrested in Spain in August, but released last week, with the Spanish courts arguing that he was a minor when the crime was committed.

The search for the fugitive lasted 16 years, before he was finally identified and detained in Punta Umbria in Spain, where he had started a new life.

Last year, Spanish authorities decided that Sirichai Kiesch would not be extradited to the Grand Duchy, but rather serve his ten-year sentence in Spain. However, he has now been released from prison.

Sirichai, for a while, was on the list of of Europe's most wanted fugitives.
