According to the minister, the audit report offered recommendations to adapt certain practices, such as the so-called steering committee in charge of the waste management firm.
The audit was commissioned after press allegation arose earlier this year that tax money was being funnelled into a monopoly position for the Superdreckskëscht, potentially due to personal friendships.
The CSV party responded with criticism that the audit had not examined Superdreckskëscht owner and entrepreneur Hans-Peter Walter. MP Paul Galles said the opposition would request a further audit, a position which was supported by Déi Lénk MP Myriam Cecchetti.
Both opposition MPs said they regretted that neither the audit report or a summary were made available to them during the Chamber presentation, which made it difficult to ask questions.
