The number of passenger flights to and from Findel has drastically reduced, as have activities at the terminal.
However the airport will not fully close, said CEO René Steinhaus.
The focus over the last week and for the foreseeable future is to be cargo flights and individual passenger flights repatriating citizens. A skeleton staff will continue to operate in the essential areas around the airport.
Other employees have been encouraged to work from home where possible. Luxairport will continue to monitor the situation and adapt as necessary.
