Covid restrictionsPartial lockdown not as efficient as anticipated: Task Force

RTL Today
On Friday, the Covid Task Force released its latest evaluation of the recent developments across Luxembourg.

Since infection numbers have stabilised but remain elevated altogether, the current situation is being described as volatile. Last week, Luxembourg had an average of 544 cases per day. The virus is thus "stagnating", despite new restrictions having been put into place.

The Task Force concludes that additional measures need to be introduced to curb the infection numbers. The partial lockdown has not brought about the expected change, which may be due to increased holiday shopping activities. "Our social behaviour can help push the virus tendency in either direction", the report retains.
