According to police reports, the woman was walking on the emergency lane towards the roundabout.
First aid responders and firefighters arrived at the scene and transported her to hospital, but she passed away from her injuries on Friday night.
The truck driver was in a state of shock and also taken to hospital for a check up.
The incident resulted in long tailbacks and traffic jams during rush hour.
