At around 2am on Sunday morning in Harzé (Aywaille, Liège province), a man was apprehended with 500 litres of alcohol in his boot.

What should have been a routine customs check at the Luxembourg border quickly became a highspeed chase.
When police saw the amount of bottles of alcohol the man had stashed in his vehicle, officers asked him to follow them to find a location to make an accurate count.
During the journey, the man decided to floor it, heading on to the E25, exiting the motorway at Stoumont.
During the chase, the individual used his vehicle as a weapon, smashing into a police blockade.
The ma eventually veered off the motorway in Harzé and was arrested by police in a cul-de-sac.
The suspect, a man in his 30s from Brussels, was carrying 500 litres of alcohol in his vehicle. He was referred to the Liège prosecutor's office on Sunday.
