Roland Bastian, the former CEO of ArcelorMittal Luxembourg, has died at the age of 63.

Roland Bastian, who led ArcelorMittal Luxembourg from 2016 until his retirement in 2023, has died at the age of 63.

His death was reported in death notices published in the written press on Wednesday. According to the notices, he passed away last week.

Before taking on the role of ArcelorMittal CEO, he had also headed the steel site in Belval, as well as the plants in Rodange and Schifflange.

He retired in April 2023, when he was succeeded by Henri Reding.
