In March next year, it will be 20 years that Serge Allegrezza has been the director of the Statistics’ Institute. He has now announced that he will step down in 2024, a story first reported by Lëtzebuerger Land.
“At some point I have to draw a line”, explained Allegrezza to reporters at the newspaper. He still intends to continue working, but has to look for a new job in a new sector, he further conveyed.
The STATEC will soon relocate from Kirchberg to Belval, which Allegrezza believes to be a good moment for him to also move on. An internal search for a successor is already underway.
