Wednesday morningString of accidents due to snowy roads
It was rather unexpected, but snow made a comeback on Wednesday morning in the centre and northern parts of the country.
It’s a strange weather week: We just reported that spring is on the way (18°C expected on Friday), but on Wednesday some parts of Luxembourg are still blanketed in white.
Snowy weather has led to tricky road conditions; ACL report at least 10 accidents in the communes of Mamer, Bridel, Diekirch and on the motorways A1 and A7.
The police confirmed around 11am that five accidents have occurred today between 7am and 8.35am. In total, 9 people were injured.
But fear not, as temperatures will rise to 9°C in the afternoon on Wednesday. The warm weekend is on its way!
