
The area extends over 50 hectares and was classified as a national monument a few years ago.
The old farm was destroyed in a fire on 2 October 1936. Excavation and restoration works have been underway for three years.
Although tedious, the task tends to attract young people, as students can earn money by supporting the project. The goal of the excavation is to highlight the history of the Upper Sûre Nature Park, as well as the surrounding areas.
