A suspect wanted in connection with an attempted homicide in Belgium has been arrested in Luxembourg.

The incident took place on 6 March in the Belgian town of Athus, where a person was seriously injured in a knife attack. Following the assault, Belgian authorities issued a European Arrest Warrant for the alleged perpetrator.

On Tuesday morning, officers from the Fugitive Search Unit of the Luxembourg Police located and apprehended the suspect in Altwies. Acting on instructions from the public prosecutor’s office, the individual was taken into custody and subsequently brought before an examining magistrate.
