New measures proposed by the Luxembourg government to curb the coronavirus epidemic finally received the green light from the Chamber of Deputies last week, and came into force at midnight on the night of Thursday to Friday.
The curfew means that you can no longer move freely between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. "Controlling the nightlife is not possible otherwise" said the Prime Minister in an official statement last Friday.
The introduction of the curfew was therefore observed on Friday evening at 11 p.m. and gave the opportunity for our cameraman to roam the streets of the capital and Esch-sur-Alzette.
His images are in stark contrast to a typical Friday night where the soundtrack would be the hustle and bustle of revellers going about their weekend ways.
Watch out for a very special nocturnal guest in the capital, between the center and the Glacis car park, near Avenue de la Porte-Neuve - no word has been given on whether this fox was indeed 'fantastic' or if it avoided being fined.
The curfew remains in place until 30 November inclusive.
