A breathalyser test showed that the driver had had too much to drink. His driving licence was seized on the spot and the man was taken to a sobering cell.

On CR234 just before Sandweiler at around 6PM on Thursday a man lost control of his car and nudged a car in oncoming traffic. The car came to a halt in a nearby ditch. It was later found that the driver responsible was driving under the influence, too.

There was another accident on CR119 between Waldhof and Stafelter on Thursday evening at 10:30PM. The driver lost control of his car and slid off the road, somersaulting the car and landing on its roof. It was yet another case of drunk driving, according to the police.
