Following in the footsteps of Greta Thunberg and Malala Yousafzai, these Youth Ambassadors would be working to promote children's rights in the Grand-Duchy, as well as internationally.

Sandra Visscher, the director of UNICEF Luxembourg, recognises the driving power for change that young people can bring, and that is why the organisation is now looking for young UNICEF Ambassadors in the Grand-Duchy. They will be able to present and enact their own ideas, while also managing their own UNICEF Facebook and Instagram accounts.

UNICEF is considering applications made by 30 June. It remains unclear how many ambassador positions are available, as UNICEF Luxembourg confirmed it had not yet decided on a limit. Already, the organisation has received applications.
