According to witness testimony, the woman was flung through the air after being hit by the car and suffered serious injuries. She was brought to the hospital together with the driver, who was under shock after the accident.
Emergency services from Rumelange, Esch, Dudelange, and Bettembourg were called to the scene. The road had to be closed off, but was opened again around noon.
