For almost ten days, travel has been severely limited across Luxembourg. However, not all travel is prohibited: there are still a few essential reasons for leaving your home. Among them, the travel of legal parents or guardians with alternating custody.
A caveat forgotten in the first set of grand ducal regulations that Prime Minister Bettel signed on March 18, alternate custody and access rights to children of separated parents were added on March 20, completing the list of authorised activities. The "travel necessary for the exercise of the right of access and accommodation as well as the exercise of alternate residences, as fixed by agreement between the parties or by court decision" is thereby guaranteed.
In addition to this exit authorisation, however, government recommended hygiene measures must still apply.
