A man has been stabbed to death in the Friedrichstadt district of Düsseldorf on Sunday evening, with two suspects arrested shortly afterwards.
The victim, a 38-year-old man with no fixed address, was pronounced dead at the scene. Emergency services had been called following reports of a seriously injured person.
One suspect was apprehended outside the building where the attack took place, while a second man was arrested in Duisburg following a brief search. Both are due to appear before an examining magistrate.
Police and prosecutors are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the killing.
