According to the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the acts were committed around 9pm on Wednesday, 1 April near the Council of State building. The three victims, aged 16, were approached by a group of four hooded individuals, at least one of which turned out to be a minor as well.
The presumed perpetrators threatened the victims with a knife and demanded one of the victim’s jacket as well as a phone. Additionally, they threatened them with severe consequences if they contacted the police.
The C3R police station in Luxembourg City launched an investigation, during which a minor, almost 17 years old, was identified as a suspect. At his home, officers found the stolen jacket and the mobile phone. As there were no available places at the Unisec facility in Dreiborn, the minor was transferred to Schrassig.
